George A. Pegues Golf Tournament

Our annual George A. Pegues Golf Tournament is one to remember.  Each fall, we gather on the green in collaboration with the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District (HABD) to support two worthy causes. As our largest fundraiser of the year, the George A. Pegues Family Self Sufficiency Memorial Golf Tournament helps us provide financial assistance to residents in public housing and participants of the Housing Choice Voucher Program, who are pursuing higher education. It also assists those in HABD’s Family Self-Sufficiency program. The FSS program empowers and equips residents for self-sufficiency through education, employment, homeownership, and more. The number of residents choosing to attend college or acquire a trade is at an all-time high, and the golf tournament allows us to meet the growing needs of both programs.
